(Volume One)
*** NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ***
Due to high costs from the POD Service Provider, the author has temporarily pulled Volume One, "How did You get in Here?", from the market.
However… Volume Two, is complete! See below for details.
by S. T. Simm
With little incentive to get out of bed one rainy morning, a little boy named Alex stumbles upon a spider. But this is not a typical scary spider story! This is unlike anything you've probably read before AND our kids can learn something along the way too! The author takes a little different approach to this and immediately engages a child's imagination by confronting the most inevitable situation we all experience... A spider in the house!
What to do? Where to run? How to control yourself and not scream? Or just simply asking the spider… "How did You get in Here?"
Now, normally you would not expect an answer, right? Well, this is not that day. This time you really get an answer!
(Volume Two)
Is Here!

Come and explore a mine with Alex & his spider friend, Tucker!
Their underground mine tour goes wrong when Alex and Tucker get lost in an unexpected way. Working together they plot a course to get back to Alex’s family by discovering clues on a map.
You can join them on this journey by reading along! Or you can take it one step further and scan the QR Codes located on select pages. This interactive method allows the reader to learn more about the different rocks, minerals, and mining equipment they discover along their journey.
So , how about it? You ready? Let’s go!

publish that book!
- some encouragement from the author -
I am a father of three who decided to take the unlikely situation with the ‘Pandemic of 2020’ and do something positive. Deciding early on not to sit around and hope for something to happen, I began to write ‘that children’s picture book.’ I always said I’d write one when I retire and have nothing going on. Well, ‘nothing going on’ happened quicker than we all realized!
So, here is my first crack at it. There was a huge learning curve as I did not know where to start. All I had was a bunch of yellow sticky notes with my story jotted down. That was it …and now here we are!
We all remember the books we loved as a kid, right? They were important to us. That’s why you still remember them to this day. Those books and pictures bring back fond memories of a childhood with carefree, simpler times. And we want those same experiences for our children. But imagine, YOUR book is the one a child picks up, reads and finds that attachment to. Now that’s pretty cool.
And, yes, lots of effort goes into getting a book onto a shelf that most of us just pick up and think very little of how it got there. Therefore, I want to encourage people who are kicking around the idea of publishing a book. Knowing as much as you can up-front will ease your anxiety. And depending how much you take on by yourself too! Whether it’s writing, co-writing, editing, drawing, design layout, cover design (yes, that’s a dedicated job), copyrighting, purchasing ISBNs, distributing, marketing, and everything in between will need to be considered. You don’t have to do it all. Getting professional help will go a long way and be worth your troubles.
So in closing, there are many people who have walked this path previously and are happy to help. The internet is your friend. Do your research and ask many questions. And Publish that book!
Sincerely,
S.T. Simm
P.S. If you already purchased my book or are considering it, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I hope you, your family and/or your students enjoy it.
